Laboratoire de Chimie Physique (CNRS LCP)
ELYSE Paris-Sud University (Orsay, France)
LCP is a joint research institute of CNRS and Paris-Sud University. More than 150 researchers, technical staff and students are involved in the domains: Ions in gas phase, Electron transfer in solution and interface, Biophysics, Thermodynamics, Theory and simulations. LCP participates regularly to different European programmes (Marie Curie training site and post-docs, COST, SULFRAD, EUROFEL). LCP is equipped with world-class instruments including European facilities such as Free Electron Laser (CLIO) and high sensitivity mass spectrometer (EPITOPES). LCP has developed the ELYSE accelerator facility, which is the only one picosecond electron accelerator in Europe and which is open to collaboration since 2003. ELYSE accelerator is equipped with time resolved picosecond absorption-emission spectroscopy and is mainly dedicated to ultrafast kinetics studies of the reactivity of transient chemical species. The expertise of ELYSE team is mainly: solvation dynamics, geminate recombination, proteins oxidation processes, nucleation dynamics and structure of nano-clusters, non-aqueous solvent radiolysis, Bayesian data analysis of kinetics signals.
